Two-Day Workshop on “Drone Designing and Simulation” was organized

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering has organized a two-day workshop on “Drone Designing and Simulation” in association with Enovate Skill, NITTTR, Chandigarh on 12-13 Feb 2020. The workshop was another step towards enhancing knowledge, innovation and skill development in diverse technological fields.

The inaugural function was presided over by Dr. Raman Maini, Head of the Department. In his address, he formally welcomed Mr. Ajay Kumar Godara, founder and Director of Enovate Skill to the department. Dr. Maini thanked the honorable Vice Chancellor for always encouraging the department for doing such activities and ensuring the required support each and every time. He also congratulated the coordinators of the Event Er. Kanwal Preet Singh Atwal, Er. Lal Chand, Er. Karandeep Singh and Dr. Navjot Kaur for the successful inauguration of the workshop. He said that he is delighted to see the eagerness of the students to learn. The coordinators of the workshop introduced the contents such as designing and installation of Drone Flight Controller, programming for Drone Flight Controller and Drone Flight Testing that are to be covered during the course of the workshop. Dr. Amardeep Singh Professor motivated the participants not only to conceptualize the knowledge gained in the workshop but also use this knowledge in their future endeavors. Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal Professor introduced the objectives and expected outcomes of the workshop to the audience. Dr. Lakhwinder Kaur Professor presented a vote of thanks to the dignitaries present there.   Besides thanking Dr. Raman Maini, for providing this learning opportunity to the students, she also thanked the coordinators for mobilizing the resources and making the best use of the opportunity for the betterment of the students. She also thanked the media for their wholehearted cooperation in advertising and covering the event.
